3. Brooklyn Nets
As it currently stands, it would be extremely surprising if the Brooklyn Nets traded Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving. Assuming that is indeed the case heading into the new season, there’s a good chance that the Brooklyn Nets end up being one of the top three teams in the Eastern Conference.
On paper, the Nets have the potential to be dangerous. Ben Simmons and Joe Harris should be healthy this season and the team added TJ Warren and Royce O’Neale this offseason. They have a better roster than they did last year when they entered the postseason.
The bigger question revolves around whether Durant and Kyrie will enter the season with a willingness to play for the Nets. If they do, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Nets made a deep run in the postseason.
