12. Charlotte Hornets
It’s difficult to gauge the Charlotte Hornets heading into this season. On one hand, they’ve shown some major improvement over the last couple of seasons but on the other, they could be set back a few years due to the fall of Miles Bridges.
He shouldn’t and likely won’t ever play in the NBA again and the Hornets now need to figure out how the franchise is going to move forward next to LaMelo Ball. They will likely take a step back this season; it just depends on how big of a step that will end up being.
With a new head coach, the Hornets are still likely another year or two away from jumping back into the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference. That’s a shame because it finally felt as if this franchise was finding its footing once again.
