NBA Rumors: According to a recent report, LeBron James would only leave the Los Angeles Lakers if it was to play with his son, Bronny.

The Los Angeles Lakers are still waiting for LeBron James to make a decision on his future. Even though there isn’t much pressure that LeBron would leave Los Angeles, he is entering the final year of his contract with the team and something has to give.

If he doesn’t extend this offseason, he’ll be an unrestricted free agent next summer. That leaves the opportunity for him to go. However, I’m not sure the Lakers should be all that concerned.

According to a recent report, LeBron is unlikely to leave the Lakers, and the only way in which he probably would is to play with his son, Bronny. That makes sense. LeBron has said in the past that he’s interested in playing on the same team as his son and I believe it’s something that he would want to make happen.

Though, LeBron’s son is not eligible for the NBA until 2024. That means there is likely another contract he will have to sign before that even becomes a possibility.

The big question is whether the Lakers will be the team that makes LeBron’s dream a reality. It should also be stated that there are whispers that the Cleveland Cavaliers could be laying the groundwork to pursue LeBron next offseason.

However, I’m not sure that’s something the Lakers are even considering. At least right now, Los Angeles is focused on trying to surround LeBron and Anthony Davis with the necessary supporting cast to win a championship.

If LeBron doesn’t sign an extension this offseason, though, this is certainly a storyline that will only get louder and louder throughout the season.

Golden State Warriors could shake the NBA with a Kevin Durant trade. dark. Next

At the very least, it’s something to keep an eye on. For now, however, it seems as if LeBron is happy in Los Angeles. Could that change?
