Notable moves: Acquired Christian Wood, lost Jalen Brunson in free agency, drafted Jaden Hardy

The Dallas Mavericks were a difficult team to grade this offseason. After making a surprising run to the Western Conference Finals this past season, there was a chance this team could really take a step forward by adding to their already talented roster. Unfortunately, that was all blown up when Jalen Brunson elected to leave in free agency to New York.

Dallas’ big offseason move thus far was acquiring Christian Wood from the Houston Rockets. Though, that may not end up being that move after all as there are whispers that he may not even be penciled in as a starter at the moment.

The Mavs also drafted Jaden Hardy who is an intriguing talent, but it would be unfair to place much expectation on him during his rookie season. There’s still time for the Mavs to make another move but I’m not really sure what remains on the table for Dallas.
