NBA Trade Rumors: 15 difference-makers most likely to be moved next

Eric Gordon is another potential difference-maker that could eventually be moved over the course of the next couple of months. The Houston Rockets continue to head toward their youth movement and just recently traded Christian Wood. If Wood is not part of the team’s future, Gordon can’t possibly be.

What makes Gordon even more attractive as an asset is that he has a team option for next season on his contract. Whoever trades for him could decide his fate for next season. They could elect to keep him on at a fair number and perhaps use it in another trade for themselves, or even decline the option if it doesn’t work out.

All in all, Gordon will likely be traded soon. Whether it comes before the season or not remains to be seen. But there’s no question that he’ll be better of on a contending team.
