According to a recent report, Kyrie Irving sides with Kevin Durant in his feud against the general manager and head coach.

Kevin Durant has drawn a hard line and the ball is now in the court of Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai. Per reports, Durant has informed Tsai that he must choose between him and the duo of general manager Sean Marks and head coach Steve Nash.

Oh, and the report also stated that he reinforced his trade request.

Over the next few weeks, it wouldn’t be surprising if players began to take sides in this issue that could grow out of control. It’s probably the hope that Durant has in his quest to find a new landing spot.

Nevertheless, as you would expect, Kyrie Irving will take his buddy’s side.

According to a new report, it appears that Kyrie echos the same sentiment that Durant does in regards to the Nets’ general manager and head coach. In other words, it’s no surprise that Kyrie appears to be angling his exit next season when he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

I’m not sure if Durant and Kyrie are backchanneling to any level, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they were. Kyrie began the offseason by looking for a new team that would be willing to give him a max contract extension. Then, all of a sudden, he opted into the final year of his deal with the Nets.

Then, shortly after, Durant shocked the league by requesting a trade from the Nets. All was silent until this recent report which suggests Durant either wants complete control over the franchise or wants out.

Either way, this is some much-needed progression to this Durant saga. It seems like a Durant trade is more likely now. I can’t imagine he’s still on the team’s roster when training camp opens. And if Durant isn’t on the roster, you’d have to imagine that Kyrie won’t be either.
