The Boston Celtics have outshined the rest of the East this offseason

One of the most interesting aspects of the Boston Celtics’ chances of winning the East again this upcoming season is that it’s difficult to point to another team in the conference that truly made a significant upgrade during the offseason.

You can make a case for the Philadelphia 76ers, but I’m still bullish on what is realistic to expect from a 37-year-old PJ Tucker. On the other hand, the Celtics ADDED Malcolm Brogdon and Danilo Gallinari without losing any rotation players.

I don’t think we can gloss over those two moves. We must play the wait-and-see game with Galo, who is coming off an injury from international competition but Brogdon is in the prime of his career and is coming off a season in which he averaged 19 points, six assists, and five rebounds per game on 45 percent shooting from the field.

There are questions about his health but if he can remain healthy, he solidifies one of Boston’s biggest weaknesses from last season.

The Celtics have plenty of concerns to quell but they’re one of the most dangerous teams in the Eastern Conference.
