What will the Cleveland Cavaliers’ rotation look like?

It’s a little early to predict the Cleveland Cavaliers’ rotation, but there are some likely scenarios. For one, we can assume the backcourt will feature Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland. Rounding out the frontcourt will likely be Isaac Okoro, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen.

That’s a pretty solid 5. And, perhaps most importantly, a starting 5 that will have plenty of potential to grow and improve as the season goes on. The weakness around the starting 5 will revolve around the backcourt’s defense. For as good as Mitchell and Garland are on the offensive end, they leave much to be desired defensively.

Maybe Mitchell can tap back into his defensive bag with a fresh start, but he’s been a not-so-good defender for the majority of his young career. The good news for the Cavs is that’s where Okoro, Mobley, and Allen feast.

All three of those players are versatile defenders and will help hide some of their backcourt’s deficiencies on that end of the floor.

After their starting 5, the Cavs are a little thin. But that’s the cost of doing business for a superstar. Assuming they don’t make any other big moves, Cleveland may have to rely on Kevin Love, Caris LeVert, and Cedi Osman to be the main contributors off the bench.
