New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans looked like a much-improved team down the stretch last season. The addition of CJ McCollum at the NBA Trade Deadline was a big part of that turnaround. And heading into this season, the hope is that the team will be able to pick up where they left off – and add the dynamics of Zion Williamson to that.

Zion is healthy, will be ready for the start of training camp, and should add an element (and physicality) that this team missed during his absence last season. The big question, of course, is how much of an impact could Zion truly make.

If the Pelicans are healthy, they should be able to take a step forward. And if they can play up to their abilities, New Orleans could end up being a dangerous team come playoff time. Though, these are all big “ifs” that, in the past, the Pelicans haven’t been able to live up to. Maybe this year will be different?
