Can a (finally) healthy Denver Nuggets team contend in the Western Conference?

Entering the 2022-23 NBA season, there should be plenty of intrigue surrounding the Denver Nuggets. There won’t be mass hype surrounding the team, for clear reasons, but the Nuggets have the talent and depth to compete with the other elite teams in the NBA.

Nikola Jokic is a superstar and the expectation is that the Nuggets are going to benefit from the return of two all-star caliber players this season.

Injuries have derailed the last two seasons for the Denver Nuggets

Over the past two seasons, the Nuggets have seen their chances at winning a championship (or even making a deep run in the postseason) derailed because of injuries to both Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr.

However, the good news is that both are expected to be back to start the season. They both missed almost all of the season last year and the Nuggets never looked right. This season, though, it will be all hands on deck for the Nuggets.
