After being one of the bigger players during the NBA offseason, the New York Knicks will have plenty to prove during the 2022-23 season. Not only did they land one of the most sought-after free agents in Jalen Brunson, but they also gave RJ Barrett a huge extension. There will be pressure on the team, needing to prove that both of those moves were the right decision.

Oh, and the pressure only got more intense after Donovan Mitchell was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers and not the Knicks. New York gave big money to both Brunson and Barrett this offseason. If they fail to make the playoffs, it would be an utter disappointment.

At the very least, the Knicks better be making the playoffs. There will be much more pressure on the team than just that. The noise is always louder in New York; nothing is shocking about that.

The question is, can the Knicks live up to that pressure and answer it this season?
