If the Indiana Pacers are going to take a step forward, they’ll need Tyrese Haliburton to take one individually first.

The Indiana Pacers elected to hit the reset button and did so at the NBA Trade Deadline last season by trading Domantas Sabonis and continued that this summer when they moved Malcolm Brogdon. The expectation is that they will keep moving in that direction this season as well.

But, they have some players that they hope to be cornerstones already on the roster, which should help this team as they look to take another step forward.

The Indiana Pacers will likely take another step back before they take one forward

Though, as is almost always the case, as the Pacers try to retool around Tyrese Haliburton and rookie Bennedict Mathurin, there will come some growing pains. It won’t be that seamless of a transition (and a growth period) for the Pacers.

But that’s not unexpected. And there’s one way the Pacers can fast forward their rebuild – the evolution of Haliburton.
