What moves can the Los Angeles Lakers do?

If there are any upgrades that the Los Angeles Lakers can make between now and the NBA Trade Deadline, you’d have to imagine that they’re going to do everything in their power to pull them off. However, it’s not as simple as it seems.

Nearly any deal that the Lakers could theoretically make would have to include Russell Westbrook. And draft picks to entice other teams to take on his contract. That’s where the issues could arise. So far this offseason, the Lakers have been linked to the Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz. Even though nothing has materialized, those are two teams to keep in mind when discussing possible moves the Lakers could make.

Buddy Hield, Myles Turner, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Jordan Clarkson are players that could make sense for the Lakers if the price is right.

At the very least, they’re options that could arise as the NBA Trade Deadline draws closer. I’m not sure if any of those deals should be expected but they’re options that the Lakers could have (especially if they’re willing to include their two eligible first-round draft picks in a deal).
