The Memphis Grizzlies may still be one piece away

Despite the strides that the team has made since the acquisition of Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and the rest of their young core, it still feels that the Memphis Grizzlies may be a piece away. As great as Morant is, he can only take the Grizzlies so far. Especially when you look at how star-studded the rest of the teams are in the West.

Even though the Grizzlies competed with the Golden State Warriors in the second round, it didn’t take an expert to see that they were undermanned – even before Morant’s injury. The same could likely be said about the Grizzlies in a possible matchup with the LA Clippers.
