NBA pre-season bold predictions: The New York Knicks will not qualify for the NBA Playoffs.
There was a point during the offseason when it looked like the New York Knicks were not just going to add Jalen Brunson but also Donovan Mitchell. As we now know that didn’t exactly transpire. Instead, the Knicks are heading into the 2022-23 NBA season with Brunson and the hurt of missing out on Mitchell.
Despite missing out on Mitchell, it’s hard to look at the Knicks’ offseason as a disappointment. They still added the best point guard on the open market and locked up RJ Barrett for the foreseeable future.
The New York Knicks still have other questions on the roster
While there are still concerns about Julius Randle and Evan Fournier, two players that may or may not fit with the new direction the franchise is headed in, New York will have an interesting lineup to roll out on opening night.
The Knicks are extremely talented but still lack a certified superstar. For as good as Brunson is, he’s simply not that. However, looking at the rest of the Eastern Conference, I predict that this team will not make the playoffs this year. Give me a while to explain my reasoning.
