Taking a closer look at the Orlando Magic, we explore which of their young players has the chance to make the leap toward stardom.
Over the past two seasons, as they have leaned all the way into a rebuild, the Orlando Magic have only won 21 and 22 games respectively. They’ve looked every bit of a rebuilding team but the hope is that could begin to change this season.
During the past couple of offseasons, the Magic have begun to assemble one of the most talented young rosters in the Eastern Conference. On paper, the talent is in place for the Magic. The difficulty now lies within the coaching staff’s ability to translate that to on-the-court success.
The Orlando Magic’s roster is loaded with young talent
Led by the 2022 first overall pick Paolo Banchero, the Magic have a collection of young players that are just beginning to hit their stride at the NBA level. Franz Wagner, Mo Bamba, Cole Anthony, Jalen Suggs, Jonathan Isaac, Markelle Fultz, Mo Wagner, and Wendell Carter Jr. give the Magic hope that their best basketball with this current build could very well still be in front of them.
But for the Magic to truly excel, they’re going to need one of these young stars to stand above the rest.
