Other potential moves that the Orlando Magic needs to make?

With a loaded frontcourt, the Orlando Magic have some decisions to make regarding a few of their players. They essentially have five players vying for two positions. Mathematically, that’s not going to work. And, in the NBA, that’s defined as “crowded.”

So the Magic likely needs to make decisions on Jonathan Isaac and Wendell Carter Jr., and Mo Bamba. Banchero is likely cemented at the power forward position but after that, there’s little settled. Though, Carter is under contract through the 2025-26 season. So I suppose that locks him in with Orlando too.

That leaves decisions to be made on Isaac and Bamba. Bamba can hit free agency after next season and Isaac after the 2024-25 season. But you’d have to assume that Isaac is a player that will want to be playing a bigger role than what he could be in for this season (presumably playing behind Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero).

There’s a chance that the Magic make a few moves at some point this season that would further focus their build.
