NBA pre-season bold predictions: The New Orleans Pelicans will be a top 4 seed in the Western Conference.

Piggybacking on how they closed last season, coupled with the return to health of Zion Williamson, it’s easy to see why the hype around the New Orleans Pelicans could grow over the next few weeks into the start of training camp.

Training camp is a week away from opening for the Pelicans but it’s hard to ignore this team’s potential heading into the 2022-23 NBA season. If they can remain healthy, there’s no reason to believe that this team can’t compete with the top teams in the Western Conference.

The potential is there for the New Orleans Pelicans

Looking at the Pelicans roster, they have the top-tier talent to go toe-to-toe with nearly every contender. CJ McCollum is one of the most underrated combo guards in the league, Brandon Ingram consistently gets overlooked, and Zion Williamson, when healthy, is one of the most dominant forces the league has ever seen.

Plus, they have an underrated supporting cast that is still getting better. That’s why I don’t think it’s that outrageous to predict that the Pelicans will be a top 4 team in the Western Conference this season.
