We take a deeper look into the Portland Trail Blazers and explore if they’re good enough with Damian Lillard and their supporting cast.

The Portland Trail Blazers have retooled the roster dating back to last season’s NBA Trade Deadline. CJ McCollum is no longer on the roster and the Blazers will likely have to rely, once again, on a ton of Damian Lillard.

But that’s kind of what this franchise has been since they drafted him, so it’s not that big of a surprise.

The Portland Trail Blazers could still be open to another move

Heading into the season, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Blazers elected to make another move at some point. This is a team that has a quality roster that will likely compete for the playoffs, but not one that is good enough to compete for a championship.

And that’s something that Lillard wants to do at this point in his career. If the Blazers can level up, you’d have to assume that they’d be willing to do so via trade. But short of that happening, the Blazers will have to do with what they have already on their roster.
