As we take a deeper look at the Sacramento Kings, we explore whether the blueprint is on the line heading into this season.
It’s been 16 years since the Sacramento Kings last made the playoffs. The hope is that they’ll finally be able to buck that trend this year, but they’ll need a few of their players to step up in a big way for that to happen.
And it all starts with De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis. Both players will be relied on heavily this season and the expectation is that they could really make a jump as a duo after a full offseason together. Another player that all eyes will be on is rookie Keegan Murray.
The Sacramento Kings could be a surprise in the Western Conference
With as much talent as this team has on their roster, it wouldn’t be that surprising if the Kings became the surprise of the Western Conference. If Fox and Sabonis can click, and if Keegan Murray is indeed the real deal, there is an opportunity for the Kings to turn heads this season.
But that involves everything falling into place for Sacramento, and throughout their history that has rarely been the case.
