The x-factors of x-factors for the Sacramento Kings

There’s one player on the roster that can completely change the outlook for the Sacramento Kings heading into the 2022-23 NBA season. And it’s rookie Keegan Murray. During the NBA Summer League, Murray, on most nights, looked like the best player on the floor.

It would be unfair to expect him to try and replicate that in the regular season but that’s where he could become an x-factor for the team. If Murray can be just close to the dynamic offensive player that he was in SL, it would be extremely well for the Kings this season.

If Murray can develop into a star sooner than later, or even if he’s just the best rookie this season, it would dramatically change the outlook on the Kings. And if that happens, maybe De’Aaron Fox never has to be the superstar that the Kings believed he could be when they drafted him.
