What is on the ground level for the San Antonio Spurs?

Looking at the San Antonio Spurs roster, it’s tough to gauge which players, if any, would be considered to be long-term pieces of their build. If Dejounte Murray was not considered to be, why would anyone else be?

Though, Keldon Johnson, Jakob Poeltl, Josh Primo, Devin Vassell, and rookies Jeremy Sochan and Blake Wesley all have to be candidates. It’ll be interesting to see which of these players rises and really takes a stranglehold in terms of leadership this season. Quite frankly, I’m not sure there’s a clear answer.

The good news is that Gregg Popovich is still in the locker room. He is one of the greatest coaches of all time and if anyone can get the most out of these players, it’ll be Pop. That said, heading into next offseason, you’d have to believe that the Spurs would like a better read on every one of their current players.
