8. Brooklyn Nets
On the surface, it may be simple to count out the Brooklyn Nets. Especially the way they embarrassingly lost in the first round at the hands of the Boston Celtics. But I’m not going to fall into making that mistake. In fact, I believe the Nets are going to be really good. Or have the chance to be.
However, with a team as loaded as the Nets will have this season, it’s difficult to envision them being a huge disappointment. If Ben Simmons, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving are all healthy heading into the season, the Nets will have the chance to be one of the best teams in the league.
And that’s without mentioning that the front office revamped the team’s supporting cast by adding T.J. Warren and Royce O’Neale during the offseason. Plus, Joe Harris will finally be back from injury this season.
