If the Toronto Raptors are going to be contenders in 2022-23, it will be on the shoulders of Scottie Barnes.

No one seems to be talking about the Toronto Raptors heading into the 2022-23 NBA season and that could end up being a big mistake. The Raptors may not have the sexy top-heavy talent as some of the other teams in the Eastern Conference have, but they might be the deepest team 1-12.

The Raptors have the opportunity to surprise some teams this season and if they can carry the momentum from the second half of last season, there’s no reason to believe why they can’t do that.

The offseason additions made by the Toronto Raptors

To add to this already deep roster, the Raptors acquired Otto Porter Jr., Juancho Hernangomez, and Josh Jackson – three players that may not be relied on but also players that could be called upon if needed.

The future is bright for the Raptors and there’s a very real chance that the could get a glimpse of what’s to come this season if things begin to fall into place sooner rather than later.
