With the start of the regular season closing in, we give out our 2022-23 Western Conferene pre-season playoff projections.

The official start of the 2022-23 NBA regular season is roughly a week away. There are just a few more preseason games scheduled and then the real season begins for teams across the league. Opening night is slated for Tuesday, October 18 and it will be here before we even realize it.

Specifically in the Western Conference, there will be plenty of storylines to follow. While there are questions at the top – aside from the defending champion Golden State Warriors – the West is extremely deep and projecting the top 8-10 teams is not going to be an easy task.

The parity of the NBA’s Western Conference

I suppose it’s something that the NBA has wanted – parity. Over the last three seasons, we’ve seen the Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, and Golden State Warriors win the West. Will we see a fourth different team this year?

Before the regular season arrives, we try to project the top 10 teams in the Western Conference for the 2022-23 season.
