Some people’s peaks shine brighter than others, or come at more opportune times. But longevity is a crucial component of greatness. As NBA fans, when debate all-time player rankings, of course things like championships and MVP awards matter, but they don’t make up the entirety of one’s resume.

Some players, coaches, and exectuvies will never win a single award but remain elite for decades, while others have a few shining moments in non-HOF-careers.

This exercise is intended to highlight certain current players (and coaches and executives) who’ve never received key awards, but have been consistently great. We explore the five-best candidates (players, coaches, executives) that have never won a regular-season NBA award but probably should have.
