One of Kendrick Nunn, Dennis Schroder, Lonnie Walker, or Patrick Beverley steps up

If the Los Angeles Lakers are going to break through their expectations for this season, they’re going to need some of their “others” to step up next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Looking at their roster, that responsibility is likely going to fall on Kendrick Nunn, Dennis Schroder, Lonnie Walker, or Patrick Beverley.

Schroder is expected to miss the first few weeks of the season, so that leaves Nunn, Walker, or Beverley that must step up for the Lakers. The question is, which one of these players is going to separate themselves and emerge as a No. 3 or 4 (depending on where you place Russ) next to LeBron and AD?

Each of them has shined throughout the preseason, but none, at least thus far, have separated themselves as a player that is expected to produce at a consistent rate. But if one does have a hot start to the season, it will without a doubt be a great sign of this team’s future potential this year.
