The 2022-23 NBA regular season is officially here. We take a look at what the schedule looks like on opening night, including tip-off times and channels.

After a long offseason and then a couple of weeks of the NBA preseason, the regular season is finally here and we’re officially ready to start the meaningful games. On the first official day of the regular season, there are two NBA games tonight.

The League generally begins with a huge, headline slate for the opener and then offers a full slate of games during the second official day of the regular season, which will fall on a Wednesday.

Let’s take a look at the NBA schedule for opening night, where you’ll be able to find the games (on TV or streaming), and at what times each of them begins.

What is the NBA schedule for opening night?

The NBA will begin with two highly-anticipated games. During the first matchup, we get to see an up-and-coming contender (Philadelphia 76ers) in the Eastern Conference facing off against the conference winners (Boston Celtics) from a season ago.

During the “late game,” we’ll see the defending champion Golden State Warriors, and their banner raising and ring ceremony, take on the LeBron James and Anthony Davis-led Los Angeles Lakers. There will be plenty of intrigue during both of these opening-night matchups.

Here’s an official look at the schedule and how you can catch the games:

  • Philadelphia 76ers @ Boston Celtics – 7:30 p.m. ET, TNT, TNT APP, NBA League Pass*
  • Los Angeles Lakers @ Golden State Warriors 10:00 p.m. ET, TNT, TNT APP, NBA League Pass*

(* Some blackout restrictions may apply regionally)

You can watch the two nationally televised games from opening night on TNT or the TNT App. You may also be able to stream them via the NBA League Pass App.

Free NBA League Pass for opening week?

Something to keep in mind ahead of the start of the season is that there’s generally a free NBA League Pass preview. If something changes for this year, it’s also important to know that you can get a free seven-day trial of League Pass before completely opting in.

The NBA regular season is finally here and the action is only going to pick up as we get deeper and deeper into the rest of the week.
