Three NBA fanbases that desperately need to temper their expectations for the 2022-23 season. 

There is nothing like being a sports fan. Sports fans are some of the most emotional people you will ever meet, but passion can lead to false expectations. NBA fans are always vocal about their team, but some need a reality check from time to time.

Fandom can be exciting, awful, or both simultaneously, but fans must take a step back and recognize their team’s reality. And heading into the 2022-23 NBA season, that will not be any different.

The good part of the new season is that every fanbase has renewed hope and excitement for their respective teams. On the other hand, the bad part of the new season is the unfiltered hope and excitement that every fanbase has for their respective teams.

Here are three fanbases that have to temper their expectations this season.
