The Los Angeles Lakers desperately need to make a trade

Through two games, the Los Angeles Lakers haven’t been any better than they were last season. They’re average, don’t splash off the screen, and are going to struggle against the contenders in the Western Conference. Something is off with this team and there needs to be something to shake up their roster.

That something would be a trade. If the Lakers are going to salvage the season (I know, it’s kind of funny saying that after just two games), they’re going to need to make a big trade to do so. They can’t afford to miss the playoffs again, which would essentially be for a third-straight season.

The Lakers have lost to the Golden State Warriors and LA Clippers, two of the best teams in the league. But that’s the competition that this team expects to compete with this season. The early indications are that this team isn’t ready – or equipped – to do so.

Just as everyone believed to be the case during the offseason.
