Trade idea No. 1: Heat land P.J. Washington

In an attempt to add some depth to their frontcourt and add a legit starting power forward (with all due respect to Caleb Martin), P.J. Washington would be a great fit next to Bam Adebayo (if that’s the road the Miami Heat wants to go down).

Washington is averaging 13 points and four rebounds on 46 percent shooting from the field and 44 percent shooting from 3-point range. He would help take some of the pressure off of Martin and would help give the team another consistent deep threat.

For as much as Martin has evolved as a player over the last couple of seasons in Miami, he’s not the player that Washington is now. And Martin would still be able to contribute in a similar role to last season off the bench.
