One other player that could theoretically help the Miami Heat get out of this early-season rut is Myles Turner. He’s on an expiring deal and is a player that many expect the Indiana Pacers to trade at some point before the NBA Trade Deadline. If Miami is looking to make a big move, Turner would qualify as such.

He’s a big name and is a player that would help with their interior defense and can also stretch defenses with his 3-point shooting. He theoretically would also be a fit next to Bam Adebayo in the starting lineup. The question for the Heat is whether or not they’d be willing to give up what it would take to make this deal go round.

In this initial package, I have the Heat giving up Duncan Robinson (to make the money work), Nikola Jovic, and a future first-round picks. Quite frankly, I’m not sure if that will ultimately be enough to make this trade work. Especially if a team like the Los Angeles Lakers comes in with a desperate offer that includes more than one draft pick.
