In the latest installment of our NBA Power Rankings, it appears that reality is beginning to set in for the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets.

We’re practically two weeks into the 2022-23 NBA season. There have been plenty of surprises this far and a few teams that have either outperformed expectations or underperformed. Either way, there is plenty of storylines to discuss around the league.

Arguably the biggest of such revolve around the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets.

Trouble for the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets

You can make an argument that the two most disappointing teams of the season have been the Lakers and the Nets. They have talent that should be better than their respective records indicate. We could be in the beginning stages of absolute disaster seasons for both of these franchises.
