All throughout the offseason, it appeared that the Philadelphia 76ers had finally figured out how to build a necessary supporting cast around Joel Embiid to get over the hump in the Eastern Conference. However, through the first few weeks of the regular season, that hasn’t exactly been the case.

The Sixers are struggling and James Harden is now going to miss some time with an injury. It’s still early and the Sixers could figure it out but are we sure this team is going to be able to? They haven’t over the last couple of seasons and there hasn’t been much that has changed since.

But perhaps there is a move out there that could jolt this team back into contention in the East. They have a solid big three in Harden, Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey. If they can add one more solid contributor, perhaps via a Tobias Harris trade, the Sixers could find themselves being that third contender many projected them to be this season.
