Miami Heat

I’m very concerned about the Miami Heat. A team that was on the brink of making their second trip to the NBA Finals in three years went into the offseason sold on the fact that they were simply going to run it back with the same roster (minus PJ Tucker). So far, predictably, that plan has blown up in the team’s faces.

The 4-6 Heat is not a good team right now and is on the heels of a loss against the rebuilding Indiana Pacers. Those are the games you are supposed to win. Right now, everything is a grind for the Heat – offense, defense, rebounding, etc.

In years past, if there was one thing that you could rely on the Heat doing well, it was defending. But they can’t even get that right this season. The Heat is ranked 15th in the league on that end of the floor and an even worst 21st on offense.

The Heat needs a spark and I have a hard time believing it’s going to come from Victor Oladipo during the second half of the year.
