Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers’ struggles to start the season have been largely chronicled. So much so that it has left many to question whether LeBron James made a mistake by signing a contract extension with the team. And while that’s a different conversation for a different day, you can’t help but wonder what the Lakers should possibly do next.

And it starts here; the Lakers need to make a trade. How big of a trade they end up making remains to be seen but they must do something. They can’t keep running their heads into the brick wall that has been the losing.

Los Angeles doesn’t have much time to spare. If they want to salvage the season, they need to make a bold move now. That means trading Russell Westbrook at the least. At the most, that means thinking hard about possibly trading Anthony Davis.

The Lakers are a mess right now and I’m not sure the return of what Westbrook could bring would be enough to catapult this team back into the title picture. And if that is the ultimate goal for the team, why stop at just trading Westbrook for a minor change?

Maybe the Lakers need a big move to rejuvenate the franchise. And that could happen with moving AD.
