Evan Fournier

It’s pretty clear that if the New York Knicks want to trade one of their guards/wings, there’s no question that Evan Fournier should be the player that is moved. However, it becomes increasingly difficult when you consider Fournier’s contract and the fact that he’s not exactly a hot commodity at the moment.

The Knicks probably looked to trade him during the offseason (specifically in the rumored blockbuster offer for Donovan Mitchell) but didn’t have much luck. Fournier is not on an expiring contract until after next season. Without attaching an asset, it would be difficult for the Knicks to move Fournier.

Plus, Fournier has gotten off to a rough start to the year. So far this season, he’s only averaging eight points per game on 37 percent shooting from the field and 35 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Fournier should be a trade candidate. Finding the right landing spot could be difficult, however.
