Three trade ideas that would help the Golden State Warriors maximize Stephen Curry’s championship window.

The defending champion Golden State Warriors have struggled out of the gate. They are 6-8 and have specifically struggled on the road where they are an imperfect 0-7. If the Warriors are going to turn their season around, they’re going to have to figure out how to get more out of their supporting cast, which struggles mightily away from home.

Specifically, the Warriors’ young players (Jordan Poole aside) haven’t made the leap that many hoped they would heading into this season. Because of that, it has left much indecision for head coach Steve Kerr as he tries to settle into a set rotation.

So much so that you have to imagine that there will be some discussions in the front office about how to proceed forward.

The Golden State Warriors need players that are ready to win now

It’s not great. The Warriors’ current situation with their young players can be summed up with this news: James Wiseman has been sent to the G League for “an extended period of time.” That can’t be ideal.

If push comes to shove over the next few weeks and the Warriors come to the conclusion that they’re better off trading some of their young players for proven players now, we explore three trade ideas that would essentially fit that mold.
