Golden State Warriors load up on depth

This would be somewhat of a polarizing offer but essentially the Warriors would be acquiring two expiring contracts and a first-round pick from the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for Wiseman and Moody. The Spurs would get two talented young players that they could develop and the Warriors would get two valuable rotation players they could immediately insert from day one.

Richardson is a guard that doesn’t need the ball in his hands to be effective and would really help defensively, especially with the limitations that both Steph Curry and Jordan Poole have on that end of the floor. Jakob Poelts is an interesting big that has shown potential over the last couple of years.

He could offer the Warriors another option they can turn to at the center position, and some much-needed depth at the position too. Especially if the Warriors aren’t confident that Wiseman or Moody is going to develop into the contributor that they expected them to be this season, this swap may not be as outlandish as it looks on paper.
