Cleveland Cavaliers
After a quick start to the season, the Cleveland Cavaliers have fallen off a bit. But what has been established is that the Cavs have the potential to be a real threat in the Eastern Conference. The addition of Donovan Mitchell has proven to be worthwhile and Cleveland may be a piece or two (or a developmental year or two) from winning a championship.
The big question for the Cavs is whether or not one of those pieces could be Gordon Hayward. The Cavs could use some depth in the frontcourt and Hayward’s veteran experience would be a welcomed sight for a team that is looking to take the next step in the East.
The Cavs may elect against such move if they want to take a more patient approach. However, this team has already shown the ability to play at a high level. You can’t help but wonder how good this team would be with an entire season of development and chemistry development, along with a veteran addition such as Hayward.
