With as many injuries that the Boston Celtics have had to fight through in the frontcourt, it would actually be surprising if they didn’t make a pre-NBA Trade Deadline move for a big. The Celtics have already been linked to San Antonio Spurs center Jakob Poeltl, but another versatile big that they could target is PJ Washington.

And Washington would fit perfectly with how the Celtics play. With Robert Williams still out and Danilo Gallinari set to miss the season, Washington would give some added insurance that this team currently doesn’t have at the moment in the frontcourt.

With injuries as unpredictable as they are, adding another versatile frontcourt player wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Especially for a team that struggled on that front in the playoffs last season.

Washington would be a really good fit in Boston. Can they find a trade to make it work?
