NBA Trade Rumors: 5 teams that should make a risky move for John Collins

The LA Clippers are an interesting team to watch heading into the NBA Trade Deadline. They have a deep roster that may need some retooling and some draft assets that they can use via trade. You’d have to imagine that it will likely only cost one first-round pick to land John Collins.

That’s doable for the Clippers. If LA wanted to reshuffle the roster a bit, Collins is a player that the Clippers could target. He’d take some of the pressure off both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George offensively and would add a level of athleticism to the frontcourt.

There are questions about fit and if the Clippers really want to invest that much into a player that is considered by many a one-tool forward. That said, Collins as your third-best player works. Especially if it’s next to two other defensive-minded players such as Kawhi and PG.

It’s an idea but far from a certainty. Maybe the Clippers do want to make a splash?
