What to be grateful for: A new face of the franchise

The Orlando Magic have been in search of a new face of the franchise ever since they saw Dwight Howard exit their locker room doors. It’s been a long time since the Magic has had one, but there’s a good chance they may have found the next star that’s going to lead them into a new era of Orlando basketball.

It’s early, but that’s just how good Paolo Banchero has been through the first few weeks of his rookie campaign. Banchero is averaging 24 points, eight rebounds, and four assists per game on 46 percent shooting from the field.

He’s flashy, physically dominating, and has the swagger that any franchise would want in a face. He still has some things to polish in his game but the early indications are that the Magic has a really good one in Banchero. And that’s what the team should be grateful for most this Thanksgiving.
