Utah Jazz
What to be grateful for: The hiring of Danny Ainge
When Danny Ainge stepped down from his executive position with the Boston Celtics, the overwhelming thought was that we wouldn’t see him pop up again around the league for a while. Then, the Utah Jazz stepped in and gave Ainge an opportunity to help a team on the ground floor.
So far, soo good. I’m not sure how much Ainge is calling the shots in Utah but you can’t argue with how they’ve turned their situation around in just a few months. The Jazz got a historic return for Rudy Gobert and a collection of assets for Donovan Mitchell.
The Jazz is also outperforming their expectations to start the year. It’s hard to look at what Utah has done so far this season and be disappointed. They still have some moves to make ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline and it’ll be interesting to see how many more assets this team can stack heading into the offseason.
