What to be grateful for: Kevin Durant’s trade value

Right now, there’s not really much good you can say about the Brooklyn Nets. Who knows what to make about this team at this point in the season, especially with the impending return of Kyrie Irving? And who knows where this team stands with Kyrie, who will be a free agent after this season.

Ben Simmons has been somewhat of an underwhelming player, but it’s important to give him time to prove himself. Maybe that improves as the season goes on. Simmons’ recent history suggests that’s far from a certainty. The team’s front office is a bit in disarray as they just fired head coach Steve Nash a couple of weeks ago.

If there’s one thing that the Nets can be grateful for, it’s Kevin Durant – and his trade value. If things continue to spiral out of control for the Nets, it will be KD’s trade value that can somewhat get them out of this pickle.

It may not be much but that’s at least something the Nets can be grateful for this Thanksgiving.
