What to be grateful for: An overlooked Nikola Jokic

The Denver Nuggets have one of the most talented rosters in the NBA. That’s not something that every NBA fan would acknowledge if pressed. And it starts with one of the most underrated superstars in the NBA, Nikola Jokic. But, make no mistake, the Nuggets should be grateful for the slight disrespect.

I feel like the Nuggets operate best when they’re overlooked and not pressed with expectations. And that’s what the Nuggets are faced with this season. They’re somewhat overlooked in a conference that is stacked with big-name stars. And it all starts with Jokic.

Jokic has won two NBA MVP awards and is likely already destined for the Basketball Hall of Fame. However, Jokic and the Nuggets have bigger aspirations for this season. And if they continue to operate under the radar, that may end up being a bigger blessing than their fans realize.
