Three things Ben Simmons must do against his former team, the Philadelphia 76ers, Tuesday night.
The highly anticipated return of Ben Simmons to the Wells Fargo Center is upon us and all eyes will be on the city of brotherly love to see how he performs against his former team. We all have seen just how hostile the fans in Philadelphia can be as we can expect Simmons to be greeted by a chorus of boos when he takes the floor as a visitor for the first time in Philadelphia as a Brooklyn Nets player.
Ben Simmons will be entering a hostile environment
Will he be able to handle the pressure of playing in front of a raucous crowd that will be determined to cause distractions for him all game? Can he continue to play at the same level he has played in the Nets’ last three games?
And more importantly, will Simmons be able to block out the chatter and trash talk as the Sixers players are sure to give him more than an earful? Simmons must put the fiasco with the Sixers in the rearview mirror and focus on helping his team win this game.
The fans are going to be brutal and at times even may become downright disrespectful but if Simmons can overcome this obstacle, it could be a turning point for him moving forward.
