The Dallas Mavericks are another team that will likely be scouring the trade market for a chance to upgrade the roster for the push toward the playoffs. And while it would make sense for the Mavs to look for some help in the frontcourt, even though Christian Wood has been really good, Bogdan Bogdanovic could be a nice fit next to Luka Doncic.

The big question for the Mavs and potential interest in Bogdanovic is whether or not he would be considered as an upgrade over Spencer Dinwiddie and Tim Hardaway Jr. While THJ has struggled to reach his pre-injury form, Dinwiddie has arguably been the second-most consistent player for the Mavs in the backcourt.

He’s averaging 17 points on 46 percent shooting from the field and 41 percent shooting from 3-point range. All that said, if the Mavs could find a way to essentially swap THJ for Bogdanovic (which the Atlanta Hawks probably wouldn’t be interested in), then they’d be cooking with an interesting trio in the backcourt.

The Mavs should be interested and at the very least make a call.
