15. Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards have pretty much been what we all expected them to be. They’re about average. Nothing special. Nothing terrible. But that may be a problem for the Wizards in the long run. This is what Washington has consistently been with Bradley Beal at the center. Basically, in purgatory.

The question is whether the franchise wants to keep banging its head into the wall thinking that this is good enough. It’s clear that this core of Beal and Kristaps Porzingis is not going to be enough in the Eastern Conference. It may not even be enough to secure a playoff spot.

At some point, the front office will have to ask themselves whether the franchise would theoretically be better off by trading Beal.
