9. Atlanta Hawks
It’s official. The acquisition of Dejounte Murray during the offseason has proven to be a great move overall for the Atlanta Hawks. It has given the team a new look and, perhaps more importantly, a breath of fresh air. And the team could still be looking to make some in-season changes.
The good news is that it appears that the Hawks have dropped some of the staleness that the team had last year. The challenge for the team is how they can take another step forward.
This may be a bad time for the Hawks to try to compete in the East (with how much further along the Celtics and Bucks are), but make no mistake, that this is a team that is rising and not faltering. Their future could be bright, and they certainly could be in the title picture in the next 2-3 seasons.
